است. این فیلم از رمان‌های مختلف مجموعه «آوبری-ماتورین» اثر پاتریک اوبرایان اقتباس شده است. داستان در سال ۱۸۰۵ و در دوران جنگ‌های ناپلئونی اتفاق می‌افتد و ماجراهای کاپیتان جک آوبری و خدمه ناو
